Not every partnership needs a big reveal. This one’s been quietly in motion since before Nobu One Za’abeel opened its doors, and now that the noise from the launch has settled, it felt like the right moment to say it properly.

Nobu One Za’abeel sits inside The Link, the cantilevered sky concourse connecting the two towers of One&Only One Za’abeel, roughly 230 metres above the city. It’s the brand’s third Dubai address and its first anywhere in the world built to fully change character after dark, sliding from a dinner service built on Nobu’s usual Japanese Peruvian menu into a lounge format with DJ sets and extended hours once the evening turns over.

What caught our attention isn’t the star power at the opening. It’s the fact that a single venue was designed to hold two different identities on purpose, one built around precision and craft, the other built around volume and energy, without either one undercutting the other. Most hospitality brands pick a lane. This one built the architecture to hold both.
That duality is exactly what we find interesting to work with. A venue that changes mood by the hour needs a digital presence that can do the same without feeling like two different accounts pretending to be one brand. That’s the brief in front of us now, building a visual and content direction for Nobu One Za’abeel that reads as one place, whether someone’s looking at a lunch post or a Saturday night one.

We didn’t take this on because Nobu needed a name attached to it. We took it on because a venue built to hold two different identities in one night is exactly the kind of project worth having on the desk. Catalyst Concepts is behind the digital direction here, building it out across both sides of the venue’s day without letting either version of the brand flatten the other. We’ll be sharing more of this partnership as the work takes shape.
